Welcome:

Candace Dainty

A mother of five daughters I’ve had many concerns about my children’s safety and ability to exercise self-defense. A woman’s self-defense ability is limited usually by her size and strength. A handgun is a great equalizer when in the hand of a trained woman.

Equally vulnerable are the elderly or physically challenged.

The Second Amendment guarantees us the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. The U.S. Supreme Court certified it an Individual right in their history making decision in DC v Heller.

Firearms laws vary from state to state. Because gun laws and self-defense laws can change quickly we must be alert and wary.

America is a nation built on freedom. Since The Bill of Rights was ratified in 1791 the only amendment consistently under fire has been the Second Amendment.

“So what’s the Jewish connection?” you ask. I am Jewish with five daughters, me and Rabbi Mordicai Kaplan, oye! Such a blessing!

Yes it IS, but such a worry, as well.  Here is the Jewish Connection.

I’m a realist as well as a Jew. Reality is that, Jew or Gentile, WOMEN are vulnerable. We MUST understand we can defend ourselves and that the Torah says so. Jewish Law says so. Jewish Law also says that can end the life of our attacker, if that is what is required. It is my hope that somewhere in here you’ll find out how and why, so that if G-d forbid you must, you can.

If anyone has a ‘real life’ experience you are willing to share, Jew or Gentile, please add it to our “Submit Your Story” page. ALL personal information is kept confidential.

An endeavor such as this site cannot be done alone, therefore I wish to thank my three Jewish and Gentile friends for their help. Thank you. You know who you are!
